Steven Newdall | Managing Partner
At Thomas Harvey Solicitors, we are experienced personal and commercial dispute resolution solcitors. We offer comprehensive legal support to businesses and individuals facing contractual disagreements.
Our team, led by managing partner Steven Newdall, is tough, uncompromising, client-focused and approachable, firmly standing on your side to fight your corner.
Steven qualified as a solicitor in 1992.
Throughout his career, he has focused on helping clients resolve personal and business disputes. His particular specialisms are professional negligence, shareholder and partnership claims, property disputes and cases involving contested wills and probate.
Steven believes that clients seeking legal advice should, first and foremost, receive clear and honest feedback on the merits of their case, whether it’s a claim or defence. He also holds the view that clients should feel fully supported, knowing that their legal team is diligently working on their behalf, regardless of whether they are pursuing or defending a claim. Furthermore, he emphasises the importance of transparency regarding the costs incurred by clients. Lastly, he values open communication, ensuring that clients feel comfortable discussing their case and confident that they are being listened to.

Lucy Wood | Practice Manager
Lucy Wood is our Practice Manager and brings almost 30 years of varied experience to the firm. She is responsible for new client intake, development and maintenance of the firm’s comprehensive Legal Case Management system, Human Resources, IT systems, social media marketing and generally ensuring that business operations run smoothly.
Before joining us, Lucy worked for an FCA-regulated Bank for over 15 years in both the Human Resources and in-house Legal Teams. At the Bank, she dealt with various aspects of HR, employment litigation, commercial property conveyancing, risk & compliance, and corporate project work. Her key achievement was designing, implementing and managing the Banking Group’s whistleblowing framework.
Lucy is a creative thinker and problem-solver with multiple transferrable skills. She particularly enjoys designing and implementing new processes to improve operational efficiency and customer experience, thereby adding value to the business.
Lucy believes that there is a solution to every problem and makes it her mission to support clients and colleagues alike should they happen to arise. Sean McHale | Consultant Solicitor
Sean McHale is a consultant solicitor with Thomas Harvey Solicitors. He specialises in commercial dispute resolution and is instructed by clients in relation to a wide-range of complex and high-value litigation matters.
Sean qualified as a solicitor in 2015.
Sean has particulars expertise in professional negligence disputes, construction litigation and injunction applications, notably in relation to employment related restrictive covenants. He has an excellent reputation for his client care skills and has successfully represented clients in the High Court and Court of Appeal.
Sean and the Managing Partner of Thomas Harvey Solicitors, Steven Newdall previously worked together at Levi Solicitors LLP and make an excellent and formidable litigation team.
